Softball Assistant Coach(s)

Salem City Schools is seeking qualifiedapplicants to serve as Softball Assistant Coaches at Salem High School starting in Spring 2026. Positions are open until filled.

One softball assistant coach will serve as the head JV coach.

The assistant coach will assist in the development and maintenance of a high-quality athletics program in the sport served which emphasizes correct and proper techniques sportsmanship safety and healthy competitive attitudes and which affords positive interscholastic athletics experiences to the participating athletes.

Applicants must have a thorough knowledge of the practices methods and techniques used in coaching; knowledge of VHSL bylaws rules and regulations; a high degree of oral and written communication skills; outstanding leadership and personal characteristics; a high degree ofability to motivate others; a high degree of stamina must be exhibited from past experiences as well as the ability to work with and through others.
