Off-Season Laborer

The Off-Season Laborer is responsible for assisting with maintenance, repairs, and preparation tasks during the waterpark's off-season. This role ensures that facilities, attractions, and grounds are properly maintained and ready for the upcoming operating season. In addition, the Off-Season Laborer will work on future projects within the park, including cleaning, painting, and grounds improvements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to :

• Conduct minor repairs and maintenance on landscaping equipment.
• Safely operate hand tools and power mowers for trimming and maintaining grounds.
• Monitor property grounds to ensure a pleasant and well-kept appearance.
• Perform general labor tasks such as cleaning, painting, pressure washing, and minor repairs.
• Assist with winterization and de-winterization of waterpark attractions and equipment.
• Support maintenance team with inspections and upkeep of rides, pools, and mechanical systems.
• Operate basic hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas, storage spaces, and equipment.
• Follow all safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Report any hazards, damages, or equipment issues to supervisors promptly.

Education and Experience

Required : High school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred : Previous experience in landscaping, groundskeeping, or horticulture.

Work Environment / Physical Demands

This role requires the ability to see, hear, and communicate clearly, as well as full dexterity and agility to maneuver in tight spaces. It involves standing and walking for long periods, bending, squatting, gripping small objects, and pushing or pulling heavy items. The work environment includes high noise levels and may involve working outdoors in various weather conditions. The position requires availability for days, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
