CNC Machinist 1st Shift

What You’ll Do :

CNC Operation : Set up full production cycle and operate CNC Lathe machines for tasks such as turning, drilling, bar feeding, and live tooling.

Machine Optimization : Optimize setup times, improve productivity, maintain offsets, and maximize machine utilization.

Blueprint Interpretation : Read and understand blueprints and route instructions.

GD&T Application : Apply expertise in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).

Program Troubleshooting : Troubleshoot programs and make necessary adjustments.

Inspection Process : Follow in-process part inspection protocols and report non-conformance issues to the Supervisor / Lead.

Collaborative Communication : Coordinate with superintendents, managers, production control, and quality personnel to resolve quality concerns.

Safety Compliance : Work safely and consistently wear required PPE throughout the shift.

Shift Documentation : Record and document issues for a seamless shift transition.

Preventive Maintenance : Perform daily maintenance checks and document findings.

What You'll Bring :

Measurement Proficiency : Knowledge of calipers, gauges, and other required measuring tools.

Math Skills : Strong proficiency in basic math.

Documentation Skills : Ability to accurately document machining procedures.

Tooling Knowledge : Familiarity with metals, part-holding fixtures, and lathe / mill tooling.

Machine Experience : Experience with Okuma, Mazak, and Mori lathe machines (preferred).

Communication : Basic oral communication skills and the ability to read, comprehend, and complete logs and reports in English.

Physical Stamina : Ability to handle heavy items, including lifting, pushing, pulling, and positioning components.

Policy Compliance : Availability to work scheduled hours and adhere to all company policies, including timekeeping.

Adaptability : Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled shop environment and stand for an entire shift.

Technical Knowledge : Strong understanding of machining practices, materials, and general mechanical principles.

Willingness to Learn : Eagerness to be trained and a desire to learn new skills.

Teamwork : Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Reliability : Dependable with a strong work ethic and a positive attitude.

Your Schedule :

• 1st Shift, Monday – Friday, 6 : 00 AM - 2 : 30 PM
