The Position :

We're looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Assistant Construction Estimator to join our team! In this role, you'll coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers, track bid invitations, and support the estimating process. Strong communication, problem-solving, time management, and mathematical skills are key to keeping bids accurate and on schedule, while helping the team succeed. The position plays a key role in supporting the estimating team through consistent subcontractor follow-up, verification of bid participation, conducting proactive phone calls, and assisting with all other duties as assigned.

Job Responsibilities :

• Conduct consistent follow-up phone calls with subcontractors to confirm receipt of bid invitations.
• Call subcontractors to confirm participation in bidding and gather status updates on their bids.
• Build and maintain relationships with subcontractors and suppliers.
• Prepare, send, and track bid invitation lists, ensuring all invitees are followed up with until responses are received.
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of bid responses, updates, and communications to support the estimating team.
• Track responses from invitees and update bid lists throughout the process.
• Update and maintain the current bid schedule.
• Attend pre-bid meetings as required.
• Organize bid packages as needed.
• Assist in addressing questions, requests for clarification, and inquiries related to bid packages.
• Ensure the estimating effort is fully supported by keeping subcontractor and vendor participation active throughout the bidding process.
• Assist the Estimator with administrative duties in proposals and estimates.
• Obtain accurate material costs.
