Summary / Objective : The Medical Dosimetrist is a member of the radiation oncology team who has knowledge of the overall characteristics and clinical relevance of radiation oncology treatment machines and equipment.

Essential Functions

• Derives treatment plans for administering dose of radiation
• Translates oncologist’s prescription and calculates correct factors
• Prioritizes and schedules treatment planning based on complexity.
• Assisting with CT Sim setups, managing treatment planning CarePaths, contouring normal tissue structures, deriving the treatment plans as directed by the physician, and electronically printing and preparing the plans for physics QA and treatment delivery.
• Works closely with the physics, therapy staff, and other departments.

Monday through Friday, potential for hybrid schedule

Requirements :

Required Education and Experience : Associate in Science degree in a related science and MDCB board certification (or eligible). Minimum of 1-2 years dosimetry experience.

Preferred Education and Experience : Bachelor in Science degree in related field and MDCB board certification and 3-5 years of dosimetry experience. Familiar with Eclipse TPS V15.6 or higher. Experience with planning 3D, VMAT, SRS, and SBRT.
