House Sup-Nursing Admin, Per Diem, Day Shift

JOB TITLE: House Supervisor

REPORTS TO: CNO

POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for supervising and coordinating the operational activities of nursing, ancillary and support personnel in hospital-wide departments in the absence of the department manager/shift supervisor. Assumes broader responsibilities on the evening, night and/or weekend shift as the on-site administrator. Responsible to the Administrator On-Call and/or responsible Executive for notification of patient care concerns, equipment or associated supplies, and/or coordination of any facility-related events. Performs all other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing preferred. Minimum of three years of nursing experience in an acute setting. Previous house supervisor experience and/or progressive management experience preferred. BSN preferred.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Must possess a current California RN license and BLS. ACLS required within 90 days of hire or status change. PALS required within 90 days of hire or status change. Basic dysrhythmia required within 120 days of hire or status change. NRP preferred.
