Security Guard

Wage - $19.25 per hour

Schedule – Full Time, split shift position, 3 day shifts (7:00 AM - 3:30 PM), and 2 Swing shifts (3:00 PM - 11:30 PM).

What you will be doing: You’ll be responsible for performing guard and patrol duties in assigned areas to protect life and property against theft, misappropriation, fire, flood or similar disaster in compliance with government and management directives.

Essential duties:

• Ensure the physical security of buildings, center vehicles, and property by checking doors, windows, lights, electrical appliances, equipment, locks, and emergency equipment.
• Maintaining logs, incident reports, and conducting investigations.
• Perform parking and traffic control.
• Assist in transporting students, and reporting and suppressing fires.
• Assist senior security officer and manager in coordinating and instituting programs that foster student retention.
• Assure accountability of students, staff, and visitor check-out and check-in proceedings by scheduling coverage.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

• High school diploma or equivalent and one year security or completion of a security training program preferred.
• Experience with youth, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and computer proficiency required.
• A valid driver license with an acceptable driving record.
