Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time Special Education Teacher position is available at a middle school setting in Cleveland, OH, focused on supporting grades 6 through 8. This contract role is ideal for educators experienced in providing specialized instruction within a moderate to intensive resource room environment.
Responsibilities :
- Deliver tailored instruction to a caseload of approximately 10 students with diverse learning needs, including nonverbal, low cognitive, and higher functioning individuals.
- Collaborate with a team of six dedicated aides who assist both in the resource room and acpany students to general education classes.
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) aligned with state and federal guidelines.
- Monitor student progress, adapt teaching approaches, and maintain detailed records.
- municate effectively with families, interdisciplinary teams, and administration to support student success.
- Manage classroom environment for optimal learning and social development.
Qualifications and Desired Experience :
Certification in Special Education (appropriate state credentials).Experience working with moderate to intensive special education populations.fort and skill supporting students with a wide range of cognitive and munication abilities.Strong collaboration and munication skills.Ability to manage and lead classroom aides and coordinate student support.Familiarity with middle school curriculum and developmental stages.Schedule and Location :
