Position Overview

As a Data Analyst Senior withing PNC's Shared Services Enterprise Architecture organization, you will be based in Pittsburgh, PA or Cleveland, OH.

  • Be the point person and subject matter expert on a class of lending, account, and customer data attributes
  • Develop Source To Target mappings in partnership with Business experts
  • Provide TCOE with test criteria as need
  • Mining data from primary and secondary sources, then reorganizing said data in a format that can be easily read by either human or machine.
  • Collaborating with programmers, engineers, and organizational leaders to identify opportunities for process improvements, recommend system modifications, and develop policies for data governance.
  • Creating appropriate documentation that allows stakeholders to understand the steps of the data analysis process and duplicate or replicate the analysis if necessary.
  • Provide support of scrum master for planning work and helping to manage stories and workflow as needed

Data Analyst Skills

  • Technical skills include knowledge of database languages such as SQL, R, or Python; spreadsheet tools such as Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets; and data visualization software such as Tableau.
  • Mathematical and statistical skills are also valuable to help gather, measure, organize, and analyze data
  • Leadership skills prepare a data analyst to complete decision-making and problem-solving tasks.
  • Lead discussions with stakeholders to communicate the value of the data attributes, or mixture makeup of those data attributes so as to convey the value of the attributes / data
  • Experience with agile sprint planning, delivery planning, Version 1 and or JIRA a plus

  • Manages and develops information systems for clients; conducts data information analysis for a variety of studies under the direction of organizational standards.
  • Advises end-users on data manipulation, end-user support systems and statistical analysis.
  • Selects new information sources and acquires stock. Catalogs and indexes new materials.
  • Implements and supports technologies for managing and effectively utilizing multiple information sources, formats and uses.
  • Researches customers needs, conducts awareness and promotional sessions for potential customers.

    IT Environment – Knowledge of an organization's IT purposes, activities and standards; ability to create an effective IT environment for business operations.

    Modeling : Data, Process, Events, Objects – Knowledge of and the ability to use tools and techniques for analyzing and documenting logical relationships among data, processes or events.

    Requirements Analysis – Knowledge of methods and techniques to elicit, analyze and record required business functionality and non-functionality requirements; ability to analyze these requirements to ensure the success of a system or software development project.

    Work Experience

    Roles at this level typically require a university / college degree, with 3+ years of relevant / direct industry experience. Certifications are often desired. In lieu of a degree, a comparable combination of education and experience (including military service) may be considered.
