As part of our collaborative team, youll help restore mobility, independence, and quality of lifeone patient at a time.

  • Schedule : Flexible schedule on a PRN basis
  • Areas of Coverage : Amelia, Appomattox, Buckingham, Cumberland, Halifax, Mecklenburg, Nottoway, Prince Edward

A brief overview of Responsibilities :

  • Provide direct physical therapy according to directions of a physical therapist and by the physicians plan of care
  • Direct and aid patient in active and passive therapeutic exercises, muscle reeducation, gait and functional training, transfer activities, and prosthetic training
  • Utilize physical agents, including heat, cold, water, light, electricity, ultrasound, and massage
  • Instruct in use of wheelchairs, braces, crutches, canes, and prosthetic or orthotic devices
  • Observe and report to the physical therapist the patients reaction to treatment and any changes in condition
  • Ensure compliance with all state and federal legal and regulatory requirements
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned

    • Qualifications :

  • Must be a graduate of a Physical Therapy Assistant school
  • Must be licensed or registered in Virginia.
  • One year of home health experience PLUS!
  • Must have current CPR Certification
