Sounds great whats the role in a nutshell?
The Director of Sales EMEA represents Aqua Expeditions and its vessels in the EMEA market (Europe, Middle East, Africa). This role is the primary sales lead for all trade bookings in the territory, supported by Inside Sales, Reservations, CRM, Marketing, and Digital Marketing teams.
Relevant Experience & Achievements :
- Commercial & Strategic Leadership : Senior executive experience in luxury and premium cruise lines, leading sales, marketing, revenue management, and corporate communications.
- Team Management : Led teams, focusing on performance, customer satisfaction, and loyalty.
- Sales Results : Achieved significant growth in occupancy, passenger volume, and client retention.
- Trade Relations : Negotiated and maintained agreements with tour operators, travel agencies, and strategic partners across international markets.
- Event & Trade Show Participation : Organized and represented brands at trade fairs, product presentations, and training sessions.
- CRM & Reporting : Managed trade databases, analyzed KPIs, prepared sales reports, and tracked campaign feedback.
Key Responsibilities :
Sales :
Develop, negotiate, and maintain relationships with travel trade and tour operators in EMEA.Facilitate entry into tour operator brochure programs and other sales / marketing channels.Meet and exceed sales targets for the assigned region.Help develop and implement yearly sales plans, strategies, and budgets.Ensure proper execution of sales strategy and budget.Conduct product and destination training for clients.Organize and participate in sales calls and trade events.Maintain strong relationships with trade affiliations and memberships.Collaborate with Regional Sales Managers for cross-selling and KPI monitoring.Support Reservations and Expedition Consultants to improve sales conversions.Negotiate and develop charter contract agreements.Sales Support :
Manage and update trade database and CRM for the region.Approve commissions and special discounts based on agreements.Monitor competitors and report market actions to marketing.Assist with Fam Trips and agent portal credentials.Handle passenger feedback and Cruise Director reports.Address client concerns and customer service issues.Participate in weekly and monthly calls with Sales and Finance teams.Reporting & Administration :
Monitor and analyze sales forecasts and monthly results.Prepare monthly sales reports for the Director of Sales.Keep the Sales Trip Calendar updated with CRM campaigns.Ensure CRM campaigns are updated with feedback and conclusions.Monitor and report sales budget vs. actual.What are we looking for?
