Resident Aide

Essential Functions and Responsibilities :

• Assisting residents with ADL tasks as indicated in their service plans. This includes but not limited to : assisting with bathing, grooming, toileting, dressing, oral care, ambulation, transfers, serving and assisting with meals, feeding, housekeeping, bed making, and laundry
• Always observe and uphold resident rights
• Positively supports residents with emotional and behavioral issues
• Assist other staff as needed on the floors
• Assist residents to and from meals
• Supports resident activity participation by assisting residents to / from activities, encouraging participation, and leading activities when asked.
• Must be willing to work with staff from all departments to ensure quality of care for residents
• Keep environment safe and clean for residents;   performing housekeeping duties as indicate don cleaning schedule or assignment sheets.
• Observe residents for safety and report any and all changes in resident condition effectively, accurately, and in a timely manner to LN on duty
• Assist in development and revision of Service Plans by informing supervisor of current resident needs and preferences as well as successful service approaches.
• Answers all resident pendant / pull cords immediately.
• Carry and possess a working knowledge of community call / communication system
• All other duties as assigned.
