The Tsui Group is seeking a qualified and experienced candidate to join our aviation team as a Document Control Technician II in Los Angeles County with the following duties :
Essential Job Duties
- Control, scan, index, link, hardcopy filing and distribution of documents in PMWeb.
- Manage flow of records to project participants distribution, including correspondence, technical submittals, project reports, Request for Information, and contract plans and specifications.
- Prepare transmittals, distribute documents using PMWeb, and retrieve documents through PMWeb software.
- Assist Project Manager, Construction Manager, and the Project Team in all matters relative to project records and the control and distribution of documents in PMWeb.
- May be designated as a lead Document Control Technician on a project or element.
- May be assigned to train new staff on document controls procedures.
- Participation in project meetings, as necessary
- May need to drive between office and field locations.
- May assume other duties as required / needed.
- May work overtime.
- Maybe required to work various shifts as needed.
Requirements
Minimum Required Qualifications :
Experience managing Document Control efforts for a large-scale, billion dollar construction project.Ensure work is accomplished by deadlines.Be flexible and able to readily adapt to changing priorities.Effective oral and written communication skills.Must be a proactive, self-starter, with a results-oriented focus.Must be able to interface with a variety of people with different technical levels and educational backgrounds.Must be detail-oriented and highly organizedMust be able to produce accurate and timely results while maintaining a positive customer-service attitude.Must be able to occasionally wrap, lift, and move boxes / packages of up to 40-poundsEducation and Training Qualifications :
Two year technical degree5+ years of experience with document processing and data management; document processing experience at large international airports preferredPrevious experience in a construction environment is highly desirable.Certification for document control professionals highly desirableHardware / Software Knowledge :
Proficient with Microsoft Office SuiteExperience with Adobe Acrobat is requiredExperience with large-scale Document Control Software is highly desirable (i.e., PMWeb and / or Documentum)Demonstrated experience with routine Document Control hardware and software, such as scanners, optical character recognitionBenefits
