2nd Shift CNC Machinist

Job Description

ARCH Cutting Tools is seeking experienced machinists to join our team in Flushing. Must have experience in Haas, Fanuc CNC controls. Competitive wages and full benefit package. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned :

• Ability to interpret blueprints to ensure parts are machined to specifications.
• Ability to set up fixturing, cutting tools, and other support equipment for machining of parts.
• General understanding of applying cutting tools for machining as well as calculating feeds, speeds, and depths of cut.
• Ability to read and interpret CNC G- code and programming languages.
• Ability to understand and modify CNC work offsets, tool radius offsets, and other parameters for CNC toolpath.
• Ability to use calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, and other quality control devices, as well as use the measurements gathered to properly adjust program and tool parameters to achieve quality standards.
• Maintain machine preventive maintenance and cleanliness.
• Keep surrounding work area clean and organized.
