Outside Sales – Sunbelt Rentals

Sunbelt Rentals, the fastest growing rental business in North America, is seeking a full-time, Outside Sales Representative to cover territory that's primarily Boston, MA to the east, Providence, RI to the south and Worcester, MA to the west. The office is in Shrewsbury, MA and you will only be required to go there Monday mornings for meetings and for training. You will be responsible for generating profitable business from the range of equipment that your profit center specializes in. You will do this by developing your assigned territory, implementing sales plans to grow business and maintain current customer base, and by helping to build the national Sunbelt Rentals branding identity. This is not a sales desk job. You will be spending most of your time meeting with potential clients on active construction sites during construction industry hours (7am - 5 pm).

• Base pay of $50,000 - $70,000/year, plus a robust, uncapped commission plan with commission guarantees for several months. Successful first year Outside Sales Representatives average $90,000-$100,000 per year.

Requirements:

• Can work for any U.S. employer without sponsorship
• Minimum of H.S. diploma/g.e.d. with 2+ years experience in outside sales experience within the construction industry, 4 year degree is a plus, but not required
• Experienced in active new business development and growing a book of business
• Able to work independently and structure your day to meet your sales goals with minimal manager input
• Can commute to Shrewsbury, MA for training and on Monday mornings for in-office meetings
• Sourcing, cold calling, and sales closing skills
• Knowledge of equipment rental or shoring industry/trench safety is preferred
• Comfortable navigating active construction sites on a regular basis
• Available to work construction industry hours 7 am - 5 pm, Mondays - Fridays
• At least 21 years of age
• Valid U.S. driver's license and acceptable driving record (for insurance purposes)
• Solid computer skills

Physical Demands:

The physical demands of this role require bending, squatting, crouching, reaching, lifting 50 pounds or more, and working indoors/outdoors when required by the job. Must be comfortable with heights for estimating purposes as well as safely navigating active construction sites.
