DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES Railroad Commission of Texas requires the services of one (1) Developer / Programmer Analyst Level 3 hereafter referred to as Candidate(s) who meets the general qualifications of Mainframe Programmer specifications outlined in this document for the Railroad Commission of Texas.

Job Description

Performs advanced (senior-level) computer programming in an IMS / application mainframe environment . Work involves overseeing programming projects analyzing proposed applications and designing software solutions. Works under minimal supervision with considerable latitude for initiative and independent judgment.

CANDIDATE SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Requirements :

Candidates that do not meet or exceed the minimum stated requirements (skills / experience) will NOT be displayed to customers .

Required Bachelors Degree or equivalent related work experience.

• 5 Required Detailed knowledge of developing and maintaining IMS / application mainframe applications
• 5 Required Detailed knowledge of developing and maintaining IMS / application mainframe applications
• 5 Required CICS / BMS experience
• 5 Required experience in COBOL CICS JCL REXX ISPF
• File-Aid or a similar product
• 5 Preferred Hands-on experience with Mark IV
• 5 Preferred ISPF and other IBM utilities experience
• 5 Preferred Experience with File Aid
• 3 Preferred Experience with Expediter
• 3 Preferred Experience with JCL
• 3 Preferred IMS and VSAM experience
• 3 Preferred Experience reading code understanding business rules and modifying programs based on user requirements
