We are looking for a detail-oriented Senior Retirement Plan Analyst to join our team in New Brighton, Minnesota. In this contract role, you will be responsible for managing the administration of retirement plans and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth operations. This position requires a strong understanding of retirement benefits, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work independently while supporting strategic initiatives.
Responsibilities :
- Oversee the administration of retirement benefit programs by coordinating with vendors to ensure timely and accurate deliverables.
- Analyze team member data for annual profit-sharing allocations, match true-ups, and non-discrimination testing.
- Review plan reports, identify trends or discrepancies, and recommend process improvements.
- Address inquiries from plan participants and collaborate with departments such as HR, Finance, Legal, and Audit.
- Develop and execute communication strategies with vendors to enhance retirement plan education and outreach.
- Investigate and correct transaction errors to maintain compliance with regulatory standards.
- Provide support for special projects involving system updates, vendor evaluations, and plan modifications.
- Assist in preparing for annual plan audits and ensuring accurate 5500 filings.
- Maintain and update departmental procedures as processes evolve.
- Stay informed on regulations and provisions related to retirement plans to ensure compliance.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in retirement plan administration, compensation, finance, or accounting within a corporate setting.
- Comprehensive knowledge of retirement plan regulations and relevant certifications.
- Exceptional communication skills for effective collaboration with vendors and clear delivery of information to employees.
- Proven ability to work autonomously, manage priorities, and perform under pressure.
- Attention to detail and a strong focus on accuracy, with an aptitude for process enhancement.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including vlookups and macros, for efficient data management.
- Familiarity with benefit functions, compensation strategies, and retirement savings plan operations.
