Construction Inspector / Checker

We're looking for an experienced Construction Inspector / Checker to join a growing engineering team covering sites along the Highway 1 corridorfrom Swainsboro to Sandersville (including counties like Washington, Wilkes, Emanuel, Laurens, and Jefferson).

Position Details :

  • Pay Rate : $21$30 / hr (based on experience)
  • Schedule : MondayFriday | 8 AM 5 PM
  • Location : Field-based across Middle Georgia; company vehicle provided
  • Travel : Yes local / regional (report to Augusta office once a week)

Key Responsibilities :

  • Inspect water and sewer utilities, civil site work, and commercial building projects
  • Document fieldwork with photos, daily logs, as-built drawings, and inspection forms
  • Coordinate with contractors and communicate issues with the project manager
  • Review shop drawings and ensure compliance with specs and plans

    • Requirements :

  • 5+ years of construction inspection or supervision experience
  • E&S Level 1A Certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days)
  • Strong knowledge of water / sewer systems, treatment plants, and construction plans
  • Comfortable working independently in the field with limited supervision

    • This is a 6-month temp-to-perm role offering great stability, a company vehicle, and 100% company-paid individual medical benefits once converted.
