Position Description :

We are looking for an Entry Level Engineer to join our ICE Team to improve infrastructure in our Pittsburgh office. Candidates should have a bachelors degree in civil or environmental engineering and zero to three years of experience. Completion of Part I of the Fundamentals of Engineering Exam and knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D and MicroStation In Roads is preferred. Strong written and verbal communication / coordination skills are essential. A flexible hybrid-remote work schedule is available after 30 days of employment.

Typical responsibilities include :

• Design various site development projects including commercial, institutional, and residential plans from concept through construction including the following : site planning, site grading, site balancing, storm water design, horizontal and vertical design of underground utilities, obtain jurisdictional approvals / permits, and prepare design reports and construction plans using local and state standards.
• Prepare preliminary project cost estimates and evaluate quantities
• Assist with / review scope, budget, and schedule of new project tasks
• Monitor task budget and progress
• Conduct on-site observations as needed
• Maintain multiple project assignments
• Verify field survey notes
• Prepare project status and other reports
• Assist Project Managers
• Attend client, public, project and staff meetings including client progress, plan review, pre-construction, etc.
• Attend seminars and / or training classes
• Maintain excellent client relations
• Maintain a safe working environment
