As a Security Officer - Entry Control Point in Salinas, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food / Beverage, and more. By remaining visible and attentive, you help to deter security-related incidents while delivering outstanding customer service and communication. You will play a key role in supporting a secure environment, reflecting Allied Universal's commitment to teamwork, integrity, and putting people first.

What You'll Do :

  • Manage access control by verifying identification and credentials of individuals entering and exiting the food and beverage facility.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas to help to deter unauthorized access and / or suspicious activity.
  • Provide customer service by assisting employees, visitors, and vendors with access-related inquiries and site-specific procedures.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of the premises and perimeter to observe and report any unusual conditions or security-related concerns.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of access control activities, incidents, and observations as required by Allied Universal and client policies.
  • Collaborate with site management and Allied Universal team members to support a secure and orderly environment at the location.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • This is primarily a driving post and is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
