Team Overview and Job Responsibilities : Indianapolis Compounds is hiring machine operators for full-time second and third-shift openings. As a machine operator, you will work on a team of 6 – 7 operators and a team coordinator who are supported by the control room operator. Your team will make the compounds we send to other Prysmian plants to create the cable helping to transform the world around us!

Shifts :

• Training will be M-F from 7a-3p for 4-6 weeks (training schedule is flexible). Upon completion of training, you will work 7am-7pm or 7pm-7am on a rotating 2-2-3 schedule : Week 1 : work M / T, off W / Th, work F / Sa / Su.Week 2 : off M / T, work W / Th, off F / Sa / Su.

Working Conditions : Job includes exposure to physical hazards associated with the maintenance and operation of major production and plant service equipment and exposure to the raw materials and service-related chemicals used at Prysmian. The job involves exposure to high noise areas requiring the use of personal protection and exposure to potential lost time accidents due to crushing or cutting of various body parts and burns or splashes associated with exposure to hot equipment and lubricating fluids and other materials used throughout the plant.
