Fitzsimons Veterans Community Living Center in Aurora, CO, is seeking Client Care Aide IIs for part-time and full-time positions. The center offers long-term care, short-term rehab, and a secured memory care neighborhood. It is located on the medical campus with UC Hospital and the Aurora VA Medical Center.

The Client Care Aide IIs provide basic hands-on patient / resident care in a safe, clean, infection controlled environment by bathing, dressing, grooming, hygiene, skin care, range of motion, positioning, ambulating, transferring, toileting programs, feeding programs, transporting, performing basic assessments (vital signs, blood pressures, weights, etc.), and charting / documenting all of the above.

This position requires a Colorado CNA certification and certification must remain in good standing. Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and one year of experience in an occupational field related to the work assigned to the position. Preferred qualifications include experience in a long-term care environment, working with veterans or patients who suffer from PTSD, and experience working with patients with dementia. Excellent communication and customer service skills are also preferred. Conditions of employment include a full background check, willingness to obtain vaccinations and test for tuberculosis, and possession of a valid, unrestricted U.S. driver's license.
