• Annual Patient Volume: 27,000
• Specialties: Lab services and imaging (CT and X-ray)
• Coverage Model: Physicians work 7a-7p and 7p-7a
• Number of Beds: 14 beds
• EMR: Cerner (PowerNote ED) with Dragon capabilities

Qualifications

• Education: MD/DO with a three-year residency
• Board Certification: ABEM/ABOEM or ABIM/ABFM with emergency medicine experience.
• Experience: Emergency Medicine residency or 1+ years of emergency medicine experience as an MD or DO.
• Badges: ABFM and ABIM physicians would be required to obtain and maintain ATLS, BLS, PALS, ACLS, and NRP (all need to be obtained through American Heart Association).

About South Texas Health System ER Monte Cristo: STHS ER at Monte Cristo is a free-standing ED that opened in 2018. This 24/7 facility offers nine treatment spaces, including six examination rooms, three triage bays, advanced imaging services, an on-site laboratory, and will provide general emergency services on an outpatient basis for trauma and observation care.
