Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to take feedback and implement supervision recommendations. Organizational skills for data collection and session documentation. Emotional resilience and patience when supporting children with challenging behaviors. Commitment to professional growth and continuing education. Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, and engage in physical play for extended periods up to 6-8 hours per day. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. independently. Ability to physically support clients when needed for safety. Schedule : Full-time or part-time; flexible shifts depending on client caseload and organizational need. Compensation : Competitive hourly rate; commensurate with experience. Position Summary
The Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) provides direct, 1 : 1 Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy to children under the supervision of a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
The RBT is responsible for implementing individualized treatment plans, collecting data on client progress, and ensuring therapy is delivered with fidelity, professionalism, and compassion.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct ABA therapy to children in a clinic setting.
- Implement individualized treatment plans and behavior intervention plans designed by the supervising BCBA.
- Collect, record, and maintain accurate data on client performance and progress.
- Follow protocols for skill acquisition, behavior reduction, and safety management.
- Participate in team meetings, supervision sessions, and ongoing training.
- Maintain professional and ethical standards in accordance with the BACB code of ethics.
- Communicate effectively with BCBAs, caregivers, and team members regarding client progress.
- Uphold confidentiality and HIPAA requirements.
- Assist with general clinic duties as assigned (materials prep, session notes, client support).
