We're looking for a senior-level electrical engineer ready to step into a visible leadership role and help guide the next phase of our firm. What You'll Do As Head of Electrical Engineering, you'll be the go-to leader for our electrical discipline. You'll balance hands-on technical work with mentorship, client engagement, and strategic input alongside the firm's principals. Lead Complex Electrical Design Take ownership of electrical system design across lighting, power distribution, low-voltage, and fire alarm systems. Drive solutions for healthcare and K-12 projects including retrofits, renovations, expansions, and new construction. Ensure all work meets code requirements, best practices, and client expectations. Be a Trusted Client Partner Act as the primary technical point of contact for key education and healthcare clients. Participate in client meetings, design reviews, and construction administration. Build long-term relationships through consistency, clarity, and technical excellence. Develop and Mentor a Team Lead a small group of engineers and drafters (2-3 direct reports). Coach and mentor staff to strengthen technical skills, accountability, and confidence. Set standards for quality, collaboration, and professional growth. Contribute to the Firm's Growth Support proposals and pursuits with technical insight and strategy. Help expand our healthcare and education portfolio through thought leadership and client engagement. Partner with principals to refine workflows, improve efficiency, and elevate delivery standards. What We're Looking For Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (Master's a plus). PE license strongly preferred. 10 years of electrical engineering experience, ideally with healthcare and / or education projects. Proven experience leading projects and mentoring engineers. Strong command of NEC, NFPA, Title 24, and healthcare-specific design standards. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and standard electrical design tools. Clear communicator with the confidence to lead internally and externally.
