Substitute Registered Nurse – North Haven, CT

A school health services network is seeking a flexible Substitute Registered Nurse to provide coverage across multiple sites. The role supports student health interventions, medication management and preventive screening activities.

Responsibilities / Duties :

Provide nursing services covering absences of regular school health staff : medication administration, health assessments and condition monitoring

Collaborate with educators, school staff and families to address student health concerns and maintain care plans

Conduct routine screenings, manage health records, maintain confidentiality and ensure regulatory compliance

Respond to health emergencies, document incidents and implement follow-up as required

Qualifications / Desired Experience :

Valid Connecticut RN license required

Experience in school nursing, pediatric care or community health preferred

Excellent communication, adaptability and ability to handle varied school environments on a substitute basis

Reliable, professional and committed to flexible assignment schedules
