A busy company in the Pompton Plains area is seeking a Credit Analyst to join their growing team. This Credit Analyst will report into the Credit Manager and be a part of a collaborative team that works great with each other. This Credit Analyst opportunity also offers career growth and work flexibility. The ideal Credit Analyst will have prior experience with accounts receivable and collections, and be an intermediate Excel user (pivot table and vlookup experience preferred). Other responsibilities of this Credit Analyst will include but not be limited to :
Credit Analyst Responsibilities :
- Process and accurately input new customer setups into the system.
- Perform creditworthiness assessments by conducting research and utilizing Excel for data analysis.
- Implement and manage credit holds in alignment with company policies and sound judgment.
- Lead daily meetings with other departments to address and resolve credit hold concerns.
- Record and prepare accounts receivable cash receipts to maintain accurate financial records.
- Handle credit card payment processing efficiently and securely.
- Review, input, and post invoices to the system while ensuring accuracy.
- Manage collections by following up on payments persistently and professionally.
- Monitor the accounts receivable inbox to identify and resolve unresolved issues or escalate them as needed.
- Prepare internal accounts receivable reports and track KPIs using advanced Excel tools.

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.3-5 years of experience in credit analysis, collections, billing, or accounts receivable, with a focus on detail-oriented tasks.Strong organizational skills with a keen attention to detail and accuracy.Excellent problem-solving abilities and effective written and verbal communication skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly advanced Excel capabilities.Familiarity with accounting systems or enterprise software is advantageous.Ability to work collaboratively across departments and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
