Inpatient Coding Specialist

A company is looking for an Inpatient Coding Specialist (Full Time) Days.

Key Responsibilities

Review and analyze medical records to assign appropriate diagnoses and procedure codes

Adhere to the Standards of Ethical Coding and official coding guidelines

Utilize coding classification systems and ensure compliance with relevant regulations

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

High school diploma required

3 years of coding experience in ICD-10-CM and HCPCS / CPT coding

Certifications such as RHIT, RHIA, CCS, CPC, or CIRCC required or to be completed within 6 months of employment

Working knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT / HCPCS coding systems, and related regulations

Preferred education includes an A.S. or B.S. in Health Information Technology or Management
