We are thrilled to announce an exciting opportunity for an onsite Senior Program Control Analyst to join our dynamic team in Carlsbad, CA! This role will sit within the Government Services division and will report to the Program Control Manager. This is an exciting opportunity to support a new program with full EV requirements from inception, and act as business partner to the PM.

As a Senior Program Control Analyst, you will play a critical role by supporting the planning, tracking, analysis and reporting of various types of programs. You will collaborate with the program team to create, maintain and status program schedules in MS Project. You will act as key advisor to the PM and will influence good decisions for the program, company, and customer. You will be responsible for establishing and maintaining the Cost Baseline and Estimates at Complete. Your attention to detail will allow you to analyze schedule impacts, perform "what if" scenarios and help to develop recovery plans utilizing Critical Path methodologies and other metrics. You will leverage your knowledge of Earned Value Management to provide performance information to the program team.

Working across our dynamic Program Control team, you will interface daily with Program Managers, finance personnel, functional groups and engineering staff in a team environment specifically designed to achieve program and professional success.

The day-to-day:

• Facilitate collaborative schedule reviews with the program team to ensure alignment on the critical path, upcoming milestones, and the 60-90 day lookaheads. Document and communicate any identified interdependencies or potential risks to delivery.
• Maintain the integrated master schedule (IMS) by accurately incorporating approved changes, resource updates, schedule health checks and mitigation plans to ensure schedule integrity.
• Conduct detailed analysis of the program's cost performance against the established cost baseline, identifying variances, forecasting potential overruns or underruns, and providing actionable recommendations for financial control.
• Lead and facilitate program status meetings, capturing schedule and cost performance data, highlighting key accomplishments and critical issues, and driving the team toward resolution of risks and outstanding action items.

What you'll need:

• 5-8 years of experience in program or project control roles.
• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance or related technical field
• Must be proficient in MS PowerPoint, Advanced Excel skills, and a mastery of Earned Value Management (EVM)
• Experience supporting full Earned Value Management programs with cost or schedule deliverables as well as Integrated Baseline Reviews (IBR).
• MS Project scheduling experience in a high-tech engineering environment.
• Comprehensive knowledge of EVMS Guidelines, DoD EVMSIG
• Experience creating IPMR/IPMDAR reports for submission to customers
• Attention to detail required for the creation of Work Authorization Documents (WAD), Control Account Plans (CAP), and Variance Analysis Reports (VAR).
• Proven track record of team leadership, problem solving, performance analysis, utilizing program management techniques and achieving the goals of the program and business area.
• Ability to travel up to 10%.
• US citizenship required.

Salary range $104,500.00 - $165,000.00 / annually. For specific work locations within San Jose, the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, the base pay range for this role is $125,000.00- $188,000.00/ annually At Viasat, we consider many factors when it comes to compensation, including the scope of the position as well as your background and experience. Base pay may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Additional cash or stock incentives may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
