Responsibilities

As a key member of our team, you will :

  • Conduct patient assessments, triage, and therapeutic management throughout the disease process, functioning as part of an interdisciplinary team.
  • Collaborate with supervising physicians while adhering to state laws and hospital policies to provide autonomous team-based care.
  • Collect medical histories, perform physical examinations, and order necessary diagnostics, including chemotherapy prescribing and management of treatment plans.
  • Educate patients and families on care processes and available resources, working closely with the interdisciplinary team.
  • Provide psychosocial support to patients and their families in a compassionate and professional manner.
  • Have opportunities to assist in the OR as a surgical assistant.

    • Qualifications

    Education : Graduate from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Program.

    Experience :

  • 1-2 years of preferred oncology experience.
  • Active, unrestricted Connecticut medical license (or in the process of obtaining).
  • ACLS / BLS certification as required.
  • DEA License.

    • Oncology APP experience is highly preferred, with a preference for experience in Bone Marrow / Stem Cell Transplant.
