PRN Occupational Therapist (OT) in Bessemer, AL

We are seeking a motivated part-time Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our dynamic team in Alabama. This position offers flexibility and the opportunity to collaborate with a skilled interdisciplinary team to deliver personalized and effective occupational therapy services across various clinical settings.

Responsibilities :

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' functional abilities, including activities of daily living (ADLs), fine motor skills, cognitive function, and psychosocial needs.
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings and in collaboration with patients, caregivers, and healthcare team members.
• Implement evidence-based occupational therapy interventions aimed at enhancing patients' independence, mobility, and overall quality of life.
• Provide therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, adaptive equipment training, and environmental modifications as part of treatment plans.
• Monitor and evaluate patient progress, adjusting treatment strategies as needed to achieve therapeutic goals and optimize outcomes.
• Educate patients and caregivers on therapeutic techniques, safety practices, and home exercise programs to support continuity of care and promote long-term wellness.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries in compliance with regulatory standards and facility policies.
