The School of Humanities and Behavioral Sciences at High Point University is currently seeking a part-time Program Coordinator. This position will be responsible for a weekly academic news blast, as well as one newsletter / magazine per semester, focused on research, creative work, and other achievements in the School and aimed at weaving community and student recruitment for the Departments in Humanities and Social Sciences. As the point person for accomplishments in the School, up-to-date celebratory reporting and posting is expected. Such duties may include maintaining and updating Departmental websites, maintaining social media, and coordinating data sharing through the Office of Admissions. In addition, this individual will be asked to perform a variety of functions to assist the Office of the Dean. This position will support the University’s Curriculum Committee [Academic Planning and Intercollegiate Review Committee (APIRC)], managing the process of course proposal submission, review, and approval. This individual should be highly organized, able to multitask, possess strong communication skills, have excellent computer skills, and work well with students, faculty, staff, and administrators. Graphic design skills or ability to learn are necessary.
QUALIFICATIONS : Education
Associate degree required, Bachelor’s degree preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience and Training
Computer skills, including graphic design and publishing. Administrative support experience preferred

- Ability to demonstrate effective communication skills, both orally and in writing, with faculty, staff, students, and the general public.
- Aptitude for proofreading, editing, and formatting documents.
- Ability to organize workflow, coordinate activities, and prioritize workload.
