VCA Parkdale Animal Hospital is seeking a full-time Veterinary Assistant to join our team in Newburgh, IN!

VCA Parkdale Animal Hospital has been serving Newburgh, IN with compassionate veterinary care for many years. We are an AAHA-accredited small animal general practice looking to add to our outstanding team.

Teamwork is constant in our daily practice, and our team is dedicated to make it our mission to help pets live long, healthy lives while also educating our clients to be true to this mission. Each team member is equally important in helping our patients and clients.

About the Role

As Veterinary Assistant, you will help create and maintain a positive, low-stress atmosphere for our patients and clients. Duties will include :

Compassionate patient care

Client education and care

Venipuncture and catheter placement

Radiology and diagnostics

Lab sample collection and processing

Assisting with dentistry, surgery, and anesthesia

Medication preparation and administration

Safe and effective patient handling and restraint

Medical recordkeeping
