Kemper's Commercial Underwriting Associate serves as the primary point of contact for insureds and lienholders for policy related inquiries. Provides superior customer service and offers solutions to customers to resolve problems within company guidelines.

Position Responsibilities

• Effectively handle all incoming calls and follow up calls up to 100% of shift handling calls
• Provides superior customer service, responding to requests for interpretations of guidelines and procedures, rating inquiries and premium discrepancies in a prompt and professional manner
• Research policy information and exercise underwriting authority
• Escalate risks beyond designated authority level to Commercial Underwriter / Sr. Commercial Underwriter or Supervisor / Manager
• Process high volume policy change requests from internal and external customers. Assist with questions related to billing, compliance guidelines and procedures, rating inquiries, etc.
