We are seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Family Medicine Physician for a full-time position in Rensselaer County, NY. The role includes providing comprehensive health care services to patients of all ages, with responsibilities ranging from pediatric care to adult medicine. The physician will also assist in refugee health assessments and must be willing to work with this population.

Our client in Rensselaer county, NY is in need of a Family Medicine Physician for a full-time assignment!

Job details :

  • Start : ASAP
  • Days (open to 4-day or 5-day work week. 40 hours per week, 34 patient facing hours.) + On call
  • Provides a full range of health care services for the entire family, including pediatric medicine for newborns through age 17 : well-child visits (routine, school, sports, and camp physicals); immunizations; adolescent health; sick visits by appointment; ADHD care; and hospital / ER follow up.
  • Adult medicine services for established patients include routine care for illness, injury, and chronic medical conditions; preventive health and wellness screenings; routine immunizations and preventive inoculations; routine physicals (including employment, insurance, and school physicals); and sick visits by appointment.
  • This practice also offers refugee health assessments in conjunction with the New York State Department of Health. Clinical social workers are onsite for consultation, assessment, and referrals.

Job Requirements :

  • Board Eligible (within 5 years of eligibility) or Board Certified in Family Medicine - REQUIRED
  • NY License (or willing to obtain) - REQUIRED
  • DEA (or able to obtain prior to start) - REQUIRED
  • Strong desire to work with refugee population - HIGHLY PREFERRED
