Hourly Wage : $23.59 - $34.41, dependent on experience and role.

Position : Trimmer / Climber Trainee

Type : Full-Time / Non-Exempt

Reports To : Foreperson / General Foreperson

Key Responsibilities :

• Perform tree trimming and removal tasks using various climbing techniques and tools.
• Manage tree parts safely by cutting branches and lowering them with precision.
• Utilize equipment for spraying stumps and brush to control growth.
• Load and unload trucks with logs and debris; operate wood chippers as needed.
• Repair minor damage to lawns and pathways caused during tree trimming activities.
• Communicate clearly with team members to ensure safe work practices.
• Train new staff on safety protocols and proper techniques.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area and equipment.
• Monitor and report on the condition of tools and vehicles; request repairs when necessary.
• Adhere to safety standards while working around hazardous equipment and environments.
• Work in various weather conditions and terrains, ensuring proper protective gear is worn.
• Assist in enforcing safety practices for crew members.
• Perform routine maintenance on trucks and equipment.
• Complete additional tasks as required.
