This state-of-the-art ice facility features two regulation-size rinks, including a new team practice rink with stadium seating, and a 4,000-capacity music theatre for live entertainment. Job Summary

The housekeeping staff is responsible for ensuring timely completion of the custodial operations specific to the Food & Beverage areas at the Amerant Bank Arena. Responsibilities include proper use and handling of cleaning products, chemicals, equipment as well as inventory control and quality assurance

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Specific duties include but are not limited to:

• Ensures concessions stands are properly cleaned and sanitized after every event.
• Safely operates and maintains all types of cleaning machinery and equipment.
• Ensures proper use of cleaning chemicals and agents.
• Conducts building inspections.
• Performs a variety of cleaning/maintenance duties as assigned including but not limited to sweeping, mopping, dusting, polishing, trash disposal, replacing light bulbs and window cleaning.
• Removes trash from premises.
• Completes daily work orders as scheduled.
• Responsible for maintaining the appropriate level of sanitation and cleaning supplies for assigned areas. Maintains assigned equipment in good working condition.
• As applicable, cleans restrooms, sweeps and mops floors. Refills all dispensers such as hand towels & hand soap. Empties/removes trash. Reports any discrepancies or deficiencies to the manager.
• Follows safety procedures and maintains a safe work environment.

Qualifications

Ability to work in an environment with fluctuating temperatures (e.g. heat, cold)

Must be able to perform physical requirements of the position, including lifting up to 50lbs and standing /walking for extended periods of time without sitting

Ability to walk and climb stairs.

Ability to quickly and easily navigate the property/building as required to meet the job functions.

Ability to climb ladders and work at heights above ground level (maximum 3 ft).

Ability to interact effectively with management and peers.

Ability to properly utilize new equipment and follow safety procedures prior to using this equipment.

Must possess a positive attitude and strong work ethic a must. Must have a "team-first" mentality with an eagerness to learn.

Strong inter-personal skills; establishing and maintaining productive relationships with fellow workers and supervisors.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a non-exempt (hourly) position. Must be able to work flexible hours, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
