A company is looking for a Clinical Documentation Specialist I.
Key Responsibilities
Provide education to providers and clinicians to ensure accurate clinical documentation
Review medical records for correct DRG, APC, and HCC assignment
Maintain accurate records of review and query activity in the CDI software system
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma / GED or equivalent
Five years of experience as a clinical nurse or inpatient / outpatient coder, or two years as a Clinical Documentation Integrity Specialist
Understanding of risk-adjusted payment methodologies and coding practices
Preferred : Associate's Degree in a healthcare-related field
Preferred : ICD10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS coding experience
