Responsibilities

Texoma Medical Center, a 414-bed acute care facility has been providing quality health care to the residents of North Texas and Southern Oklahoma since 1965. Under the direction of the Manager, Admissions / Patient Access, this position is responsible to ensure that incoming and outbound calls are handled by staff in a timely, courteous manner, directing callers to appropriate personnel via accurate phone numbers. Consistently demonstrate calm, clear, and professional communication direction and practices. Ensures that hospital codes and other important messages and pages are handled expeditiously and appropriately. Schedule staff, handle vendor communications as well as routine employee relations issues

Qualifications

Reading and numerical competency.

At least one (1) year of PBX experience or customer service position requiring extensive phone work plus at least one (1) year of supervisory experience. Previous hospital experience strongly preferred.

Excellent customer service skills required. Ability to fluently speak and understand English. Ability to clearly articulate applicable information in a calm, competent and expeditious manner. Able to consistently handle stressful situations with professionalism and utilizes sound judgment. Able to operate multiple computer program and phone systems as needed. Able to effectively train staff. Able to resolve routine matters and escalates issues as needed to management.
