Summary :
The Program Specialist will coordinate and co-facilitate a newly created program that provides training for entrepreneurs on their path to small business ownership. This position is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the program; supporting, training, and garnering support from key stakeholders. This role is vital to business operations, provides insight into organizational growth, and requires a self-starter.
Responsibilities :

- Support entrepreneurial and small business outreach efforts within Indian Country.
- Administer entrepreneurship assessments to assist individuals in identifying critical analysis of their goals, interests, skills, and experience.
- Assist in the creation of program Policies and Procedures to support entrepreneurial and small business opportunities.
- Promote entrepreneurship and small businesses through social media platforms and events that support opportunities for Indigenous owned small businesses to connect with Tribal government and Tribal Enterprises staff and purchasing decision makers.
- Create and maintain a database of Native owned business.
- Coordinate future events, networking sessions and monthly roundtable that showcase successful Native entrepreneurs and cover topics such as business readiness, and business law, etc.
- Conduct regular outreach to prospective Indigenous entrepreneurs to attend the entrepreneurial training program.
- Coordinate and track participation in the entrepreneurial training program for Indigenous participants, following the tribal preference hiring policy.
- Maintaining all participant numbers, outcomes, narratives, and successes for required reporting.
- Assist in building relationships and establishing policies and procedures with Tribal governments, Tribal enterprise organizations and local stakeholders within the community to develop the administrative infrastructure necessary to implement Tribal Entrepreneurial Programs.
- Partners with financial institutions and granting agencies to help entrepreneurs secure funding.
- Plan, facilitate, and co-teach fundamental business education courses to adult and youth learners with variant levels of education and experience
- Other duties as assigned to support the Indian Country Innovation Center initiatives.

Highschool diploma or GED required. Bachelors degree in Business Administration or a closely related field from four-year college or university with a minimum of three years related experience and / or training is preferred.Working Conditions :
This role usually spends most of their time in an office with a clean, well-lit, and comfortable environment. However, support of general issues may require approximately 5-10% of travel in between Milwaukee locations and Forest County.
