Security Officer - Retail Patrol Specialist

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned retail and mall locations to help deter security-related incidents. Your presence and routine patrols support a secure environment while you provide exceptional customer service and clear communication. What You'll Do :

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergencies as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following Allied Universal protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail or mall location, including the business interior and perimeter, to help deter unwanted activity and promote a secure environment.
  • Observe and report any suspicious activities or potential hazards encountered during patrols.
  • Assist visitors and employees with directions and general inquiries while maintaining a professional presence.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement or emergency responders when required, according to site protocols.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and irregularities in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
