About the role:
Victoria Legal Aid (VLA) is seeking for a seasoned Operations Manager to oversee five regional offices in the North catchment. Reporting to the Regional Associate Director, North, you will manage administrative functions and improve service delivery across these locations.
Your role will involve coordinating regional operations, aligning them with VLA's strategic goals, and driving service improvements. You'll also manage key project and oversee built environment projects to ensure smooth operations.
The North catchment includes offices in Bendigo, Broadmeadows, Ringwood, Shepparton, and Mildura, focusing on improving access to legal services for clients in outer-metropolitan and regional areas. This position requires regular travel across these offices.
This role is based at Dja Dja Wurrung, Yorta Yorta, Ladji Ladji, and Wurundjeri Country.
About you:
As our ideal candidate, you will possess:
- A strong background in coordinating both operational and strategic initiatives, ideally within a legal or similarly complex environment.
- The ability to analyse complex datasets and derive actionable insights to solve problems and improve service delivery.
- Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to negotiate effectively and build strong relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Experience in managing administrative and support services, particularly within a legal practice or related field.
- A deep understanding of social justice issues, with a demonstrated commitment to supporting Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander communities within the justice system.
- Willingness to travel across the North regional offices and adapt to varying needs and challenges of different locations.
