About the Role

Were looking for a Databricks Architect to serve as the projects first technical hire in the data / BI domain . This is a high-visibility strategic position where youll architect the analytics foundation shape data practices and work directly with leadership to bring data-driven decision-making to life. Youll own everything from pipelines to dashboard strategylaying the groundwork for a world-class data ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

Design develop and maintain ETL / ELT pipelines in Databricks for clean reliable data processing.

Build Power BI dashboards for executive audiences translating strategy into clear visual insights.

Collaborate with analysts stakeholders and leadership to understand requirements and deliver actionable solutions.

Develop real-time or frequent-refresh data processes that support timely decision-making.

Optimize and maintain existing dashboards and pipelines for performance accuracy and usability.

Implement automated reporting workflows including refresh scheduling monitoring and reliability.

Support and maintain cloud data infrastructure (storage compute data models) with a focus on scalability governance and security.

Serve as a bridge between business / leadership and technical teams translating business needs into platform capabilities and translating technical possibilities back into business value.

Establish and champion foundational data / BI practices including data modeling metadata documentation and pipeline designas the first technical hire in this area.

What You Need to Succeed

Expertise with Databricks (ETL / ELT pipelines transformation data processing).

Strong experience building Power BI dashboards and data models .

Advanced SQL skills and experience with relational or cloud data warehouses.

Ability to work independently set technical direction and collaborate with executive-level stakeholders.

Excellent communication skills for working with both technical and non-technical audiences.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a continuous improvement mindset.

Experience working in fully remote environments.

Nice-to-Have

Experience with cloud platforms (Azure AWS GCP) especially Azure data services.

Programming skills in Python or Scala.

Familiarity with other BI tools (Tableau Looker).

Experience with data governance data cataloging or metadata management.

Prior experience collaborating across multiple time zones.

Work Arrangement

This position is 100% remote and open to candidates across Latin America only.

Availability from 7 AM to 2 PM EST is required to align with executive leadership and global team meetings. Outside of these core hours you have flexibility.
