Business Analyst
Reporting to the VP of Retail Licensing and Commissions, the Business Analyst will be responsible for working closely within the Licensing and Commissions department and other internal / external partners on current and future projects for new partner and product launches. This individual will collaborate with stakeholders, including Legal and Compliance Leadership, project teams, and other relevant parties to gather and document detailed business requirements for current and upcoming projects. This will include identifying, reviewing and validating business requirements and facilitating sign off within the business.
Additionally, the Business Analyst will be responsible for evaluating existing processes and identifying opportunities for improvement that meet Corebridge business objectives in the current environment. This individual will leverage technology, tools, and to reduce inefficiencies to maintain and improve SLAs. An individual in the role will be required to be organized, data driven, and customer focused to drive timely results.
Responsibilities :
- Provide partnership between L&C operations and IT to identify dependencies and maximize efficiencies and improve overall functionality
- Identify and provide details on controls and processes to support business continuity efforts and eliminate operational risk.
- Analytical ability, problem solver, can self-motivate research answers to questions. Experience with independent research and summarization of information.
- Good communication skills with ability to speak to both internal and external stakeholders as we identify and implement requirements / changes.
- Work with the BA team and L&C leadership on operational projects to ensure the achievement of project goals and tactical business results including identify / reviews of organization's risk management policies and procedures.
- Clearly and concisely communicate issue observations, or other key messages as needed to a variety of constituents, including senior business and audit management, both verbally and through written reports. Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Work in partnership and maintain open communication lines with control functions relative to products and processes and ensuring adherence to regulatory guidelines, and evolving business needs.
- Leverage understanding of current and future suite of Corebridge products, features, and systems.
- Clearly and articulately provide documented rationale behind decisions and memorialize them.
- Provide suggestions and plans to upgrade processes, procedures, and systems.
- Use organizational acumen and experience to contribute to other departments.
Skills and Qualifications :
2+ years business and system knowledge in Life Commissions or project management experienceMust be proficient MS Excel, Access, Word, and PowerPoint. Possess skill or ability learn : JIRA, Visio and other programs or platforms as required with the role.Excellent verbal communication and writing skills are required. Ability to simplify technical issues and communicate to non-technical audiences.Ability to identify and report potential key risks and controls across different business processesStrong interpersonal skills to establish effective working relationships with colleagues, IT, Sales and Management.Experience with audit, regulatory controls, general IT controls, software / hardware paradigms, or coding is desirable.Experience with leveraging the use of data analysis tools is a plus.Higher understanding of annuity products, platforms, distribution channels, and broker dealer proprietary products (Variable, Index, Fixed and immediate annuities)Ability to identify business risks and concerns while evaluating annuity exception cases.Be a self-starter with a strong executive presence.Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect and evaluate data while gathering insights.Excellent communication, writing, and organizational skills.Ability to handle multiple escalated cases simultaneously while meeting SLAs.Compensation :
The actual compensation offered will ultimately be dependent on multiple factors, which may include the candidate's geographic location, skills, experience and other qualifications.
In addition, the position is eligible for a discretionary bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable incentive plan.

This position is based in Corebridge Financial's Amarillo, TX or Houston, TX office and is subject to our hybrid working policy, which gives colleagues the benefits of working both in an office and remotely.
