Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift ICU position with neuro / trauma specialization and a current CA RN license.

Responsibilities

  • Work in a Level II trauma Neurology / Trauma ICU (NT / SICU) unit with 12 beds
  • Patient population includes neuro and trauma cases, including those requiring ICP monitors, CRRT, and lumbar drains
  • 2 : 1 patient-to-nurse ratio
  • 12-hour night shifts starting at 1900
  • Floating required to Cardiovascular Unit, Telemetry Care Unit, ICU / CCU, or Med Surg units as needed
  • Uses Epic charting system
  • Must be able to care for patients with ICP monitors, CRRT, and lumbar drains
  • Staff are required to float to other critical care and med / surg units as needed
  • All staff must be W-2 employees of their agency
  • No COVID-19 vaccine requirement specified

    • Requirements

  • Active CA RN license required
  • Minimum of 5 years acute critical care experience
  • Experience in Level II trauma critical care setting required
  • Current BLS / BCLS and ACLS certifications required
  • Epic charting experience required
