TDS, a Fortune 1000® national communications company, has a great opportunity for a Lead Transaction Tax Accountant . We are open to filling this position REMOTELY or in a hybrid work schedule in our Madison, WI office.
Responsibilities
TDS has a complex structure with multiple entities and multi-jurisdictional tax filing requirements. The core functions of Lead Transaction Tax Accountant are to contribute at a high level to TDS projects and objectives, including key roles with transaction taxes on customer bills and company purchases. This position is also expected to be a key contributor to developing and implementing tax savings and risk reduction strategies; and may also be a main point of contact for tax audits by government agencies. The Lead Transaction Tax Accountant provides leadership and indirect supervision to members of the Tax team and is responsible for developing and applying tax knowledge to group efforts and projects. In addition, this position is responsible for ensuring compliance with filing requirements and tax related internal controls, including certain SOX requirements.

This position has an annualized rate of pay that may range from $91,300 - $114,100 / year based on a number of factors which may include position level, internal equity and market location, and may also vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, education, and experience. Associates are also eligible for a potential annual performance award (bonus), based on annual individual and company performance.
