As a part-time Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) within the Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU), you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality, multidisciplinary care to critically ill surgical patients.

Position Overview :

  • Schedule : 24 hours per week with 12-hour rotating shifts (days, nights, weekends, and holidays).
  • Environment : High-acuity, fast-paced ICU with collaborative teams including attending surgeons, intensivists, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Clinical Focus : Caring for complex post-operative and trauma patients requiring advanced interventions.

Your Responsibilities :

  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and manage treatment plans.
  • Perform a range of invasive bedside procedures (e.g., arterial lines, central lines, chest tubes, and intubations).
  • Work closely with surgical and critical care teams to ensure continuity of care.
  • Participate in educational initiatives for residents and nursing staff.
  • Engage in quality improvement projects and support advanced certifications.

    • Qualifications :

  • Prior experience in an ICU or critical care setting is required.
  • Strong procedural skills and the ability to manage high-acuity cases independently.
