American Muscle Docks & Fabrication (AMD) – PROJECT MANAGER
We seek an experienced project manager with a strong construction, marketing, and inside sales background to join our team. The successful candidate will market, quote, manage, and administer floating docks projects, products, and services for our marine access business. This position reports to the President.

Markets, quotes, and administers customer orders and contracts for floating docks and associated hardware / accessories to domestic and international customers, requiring a solid knowledge of the marina industry, boat docks, and AMD products.Responds to customer-initiated telephone and website inquiries. Establishes, develops, maintains, and builds positive business, customer, and dealer relationships.Generates news business through networking, customer referrals, and trade show attendance to sustain and grow market share.Makes on-site customer visits to establish rapport, clarify customer requirements, verify specifications, finalize pricing, and establish contractual agreements.Coaches clients in the use of the 3-D Dock Building Software; establishes clear project requirements.Ensures that the Customer Project File reflects complete requirements, including raw material availability and pricing, product and shipping quote details, and accurate drawings approved by both the customer and the company. Obtains pre- and post-project completion photos and endorsements.Serves as the “turnkey” project manager by coordinating all aspects of the project, including sales agreement approval, sales order generation / payment, project specifications / drawings, bill of materials production, and shipping.Ensures customer delivery and satisfaction. Collects customer deposit information by inputting it into the QuickBooks system; verifies that a deposit is received before allocating materials and scheduling customer orders.Notifies Production Manager and Vice President of Operations if faulty equipment or defective materials are discovered. Resolves any customer concerns with integrity.Ensures an exemplary customer experience from “point of order” through “customer delivery” through the professional servicing of the customer, e.g., servicing quotes, entering and managing orders, processing payments, resolving disputes and customer complaints, and confirming shipments.Establishes, develops, maintains, and builds positive business, customer, and dealer relationships.Demonstrates AMD’s core values : Respect, Precision, Urgency, Mastery, Positivity.Regularly exercises discretion and independent judgment, utilizing a “solutions-focused” approach to meet and exceed customer needs.Requirements :
THE BACKGROUND THAT FITS :
A consummate professional who enjoys working as a member of a team and thrives on achieving a well-managed project that exceeds customer expectations.Bachelor’s degree in business, Business Administration, Marketing, Construction, or equivalent.3-5 years of construction, metal fabrication, and customer service. Knowledge of dock manufacturing and the metal fabrication industry – a plus!3-5 years of commercial construction project leadership experience combined with an excellent track record of sales and contract administration for projects ranging from $1 – 6+ million.3-5 years of inside sales in the residential and commercial fields.Ability to manage all facets of the project (project definition, drawings, specification confirmation, raw material requirements, production, shipping, delivery, and customer satisfaction follow-up). Interfaces with field sales personnel, providing technical feedback as neededStrong computer skills to include Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), QuickBooks, HubSpot, CRM, Google Workspace, and related web-based applications. MAC / PC familiarity.Excellent applied math and construction measurement skills, with the attention to detail necessary to develop project costs and specifications. Requires the ability to read and interpret blueprints to ensure customer needs are met.Professional verbal and written communication skills.Excellent supplier and customer relationship development and consulting skills.Experience in the marine access and construction field is a plus.Works on the phone, at a computer, and interacts with employees and visitors in a fast-paced office and plant setting. Lifts up to 50 pounds.
