Position Overview

  • Provide first assist support during cardiovascular and other surgical procedures
  • Prepare the operating room with necessary instruments and supplies
  • Maintain sterile field and anticipate the surgeon's needs throughout cases
  • Assist with patient positioning, hemostasis, suturing, and wound closure
  • Collaborate closely with surgical teams to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes

    • Job Requirements

    Required Credentials

  • Certification as a First Assist (CFA) or Certified Surgical First Assistant (CSFA)
  • Graduation from an accredited surgical technology or first assist program
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

    • Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in cardiovascular operating rooms preferred
  • Additional surgical specialty certifications a plus

    • Experience

  • Minimum one year of first assist experience preferred
  • New graduates with strong clinical training and dedication to patient care are encouraged to apply
