[job_card.job_description]Work in Neuro Stepdown and Telemetry units Patient ratio of 1 : 4 for days, nights, and weekends Weekend coverage required - 1 weekend shift per month 12 hours orientation provided Floating to different units may be required Must pass advanced dysrhythmia test for competency assessment Required certifications : BLS, ACLS, NIH Stroke Scale Kentucky nursing license or compact license required at submission EPIC experience required 2 years of nursing experience required Community hospital experience required Previous charge experience preferred Self-scheduling system Care for adult and geriatric patient populations Unit has 24 beds with daily census of 23 patients Primary patient diagnoses include stroke, neuro conditions, and spine cases Perform cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management Provide IV therapy including accessing ports, blood product administration, and central line care Manage feeding tubes, pre / post hemodialysis care, and wound care Handle respiratory care including CPAP / BIPAP, high flow nasal cannula, and tracheostomy management Work with heparin protocols, PCA pumps, and cardiac drip titrations Provide care for CVA patients, traumatic brain injury, and pre / post neurosurgery patients Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, and rapid response teams Referral bonus
